Michael Scott Younger—otherwise known as MSYIII—is a Virginia Beach-based illustrator and painter. He has mild colorblindness, but that impairment has not held back the impact of his kaleidoscopic work. In “Shiver,” he showcases his masterful use of chaotic texture and warped lettering in an appropriately monster-themed colorscape. He has had his art on display in shows since the age of 17 and, as he puts it, some of it has “ended up in museums and some into thrift stores.” See more of his work at
