Photographer Tristan Williams captured an aerial view of the impromptu street memorial created to honor the victims of a vehicular assault during the Unite the Right rally on August 12 in Charlottesville. This act of domestic terrorism, perpetrated on a group of counterprotesters, left 19 injured and took the life of local paralegal Heather Heyer. Many friends of Whurk Magazine took part in the counterprotest, including some, like photographer Pat Jarrett, who witnessed the incident firsthand. Our hearts go out to the victims of the assault and their families. We support their efforts to resist white nationalism and send the injured goodwill during their time of recovery.
