Ronald Jackson is a figurative painter originally from rural Arkansas who currently resides in Spotsylvania. He studied Architectural Design at Mission Viejo College in California before pursuing a career in the U.S. Army in 1992. In May 2014, Jackson retired from the Army after 21 years of service and has since worked as a professional artist. He is one of four artists currently featured in Emerging Artists of the DMV, a juried group show at the Target Gallery at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria. Designed to promote new talent from D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, Target Gallery Director Leslie Mounaime said, “These artists are the future.” A talk with the jury panel will be held on Thursday, May 10 at 8 PM.
