Renewable is a collection of new work by Richmond-based artist Jonathan Lee currently on display at George Mason University's Fenwick Gallery. The series consists of collages constructed with discarded ephemera from VCU’s newly expanded Cabell Library. Cut into organic shapes formed by blind contour drawing using his non-dominant hand, Lee has assembled a mediation on the changing role of libraries in modern society. An artist talk will be given on Thursday, September 15 at 4 PM, the exhibit will be on display through the end of the month. See more from the series at jleerva.com/renewable.
